The Internet is buzzing with reports that the small, charming Litchfield County town of Woodbury--the Antiques Capital of Connecticut--has been taking steps in response to a complaint by Sheri Moon Zombie, the wife of shock rocker Rob Zombie, about the noise from a skateboard park in the town's Hollow Park, adjacent to the couple's historic estate.

The skateboard park, which opened this past spring, is in the corner of the expansive park closest to the Zombies' property, separated by the screening of longstanding trees. The noise of youths skateboarding would be easily audible from the neighboring property, which is close enough that the noise would likely be loud.

According to the story posted by Woodbury-Middlebury Patch, Sheri Moon Zombie talked about the noise from skateboarders at a town budget meeting in June and asked if the skate park could be moved.

In response, Patch says, the town has enclosed ramps in the skateboard park in an attempt to reduce the noise level, and the hours the park is open have been reduced. Asked by Patch for more details, the town's first selectman, Gerald Stomski declined, citing the possibility of pending litigation.
