Celebrate Halloween Mexican-Style at The Scorpion Bar at Foxwoods
If you’re looking for a new way to celebrate All Hallows Eve, why not indulge in a night of “dancing, drinking and debauchery” at one of Connecticut’s coolest Mexican party spots—The Scorpion Bar at Foxwoods?! The festivities take place from 9 p.m to 1 a.m., with free cover to all who dress to the night’s “Dark Angel” theme (guests not in costume pay $5). Popular DJ JD, music director for Big Entertainment (Scorpion Bar, Shrine, High Rollers) will be doing the honors.
The atmospheric 5,000-square-foot tequila cantina-cum-rock-bar has over 125 tequilas on the menu, fabulous margaritas and other specialty cocktails, as well as 60-ounce Scorpion Bar Bowls. (I’ll be having a Sinister Sangria, served in a skull.) The affordable food menu features authentic Mexican classics such as empanadas, burritos, quesadillas, nachos (with chicken, steak, BBQ pork or Chili), Scorpion wings, roasted enchiladas and Habanero Queso steak.
Have a great time, but be safe: If you’re planning to seriously party, consider getting a designated driver—or a room for the night.
