'Cake Boss' Opening a Carlo’s Bake Shop in Greenwich

'Cake Boss' Opening a Carlo’s Bake Shop in Greenwich

A photo montage from

What’s Jersey got that we don’t have here in Connecticut (besides John Bon Jovi, Atlantic City, Snooki and J. Woww)? A Carlo’s Bake Shop, for one. But that’s going to change this fall, when the landmark Hoboken bakery opens a storefront in downtown Greenwich.

Carlo’s Bake Shop has been a fixture in Hoboken since 1910, and has locations in Ridgewood and Westfield, New Jersey. But you don’t have to live in the Garden State to know master baker Buddy Valastro. You’ve probably seen him and his team creating their specialty-cake extravaganzas on TLC’s “Cake Boss.” Or seen Valastro’s wedding cakes featured in The Knot or Modern Bride.

The Greenwich shop, which will be on Elm Street next to Urban Outfitters, is the company’s first out-of-state location (we’re guessing it won’t be the last). It will have the same trademark brick exterior and striped awning as the original.

Watch your back, Sweet Lisa’s and St. Moritz—Buddy’s coming to town!
