Bareburger Opens in Ridgefield; Wild Boar to Bison to Quinoa Veggie Burgers

It’s beyond official at this point—with Plan B Burger Bar, Max Burger and other standouts, Connecticut is a haven for folks who love gourmet burgers and all that goes with that experience.

The top winners in the Best Gourmet Burger category in our Best Restaurants 2014: Readers’ Choice were:

The latest arrival in the gourmet burger genre is a Ridgefield outpost of Bareburger, an organic burger micro-chain that’s a hit in the Big Apple.

“Serving everything from Wild Boar and Bison to Farmers Quinoa Veggie Burgers and Buttermilk Fried Chicken, the growing Michelin-recommended micro-chain of organic burger restaurants has been changing the way New Yorkers (and bears) eat—for the better,” says the press material.

The Ridgefield location is Bareburger’s first Connecticut restaurant and 17th location throughout Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut, the company says.

Bareburger opened its first location in Queens in 2009, and has plans for a second Connecticut location in Stamford (summer 2014) and national expansion in 2014.
