Attention, Wine Lovers!

Capital Grille is running an interesting wine event, called “The Generous Pour,” you’ll want to know about. For $25 per person at dinner, you get to sample up to nine wines from around the world chosen by George Miliotes, one of the world’s few Master Sommeliers. The eclectic selection, billed as Miliotes’ personal favorites, are a great—and affordable—way for adventurous wine lovers to experience superior vintages and wines new to them. Among the labels featured are Lunetta Rosé, an Italian sparkler; Gary Farrell’s 2009 (an excellent vintage) chardonnay from Sonoma; Conn Creek Anthology 2007 (the best California cab vintage in 50 years); and Chateau du Pin Cabernet, 2009 (an outstanding year for Bordeaux).

On the website, you can preview each wine with a touch of your cursor, and there are helpful suggestions for the best menu choices to go with them. The event runs through Sept. 2.

See you there!
