Get Ready for Restaurant Week!
Restaurant Weeks have been proliferating like crazy in towns and cities all over Connecticut for the last few years. Now it’s time for the statewide event put on by the Connecticut Restaurant Association. The fourth annual CT Restaurant Week kicks off on Monday, Oct. 10, and runs through the Sunday, the 16th. During that time over 75 restaurants will offer various deals (a prix fixe meal, a bottle of wine, etc.) for $20.11.
"Restaurant Week provides diners with a unique opportunity to go out and enjoy a great meal at a great price,” says Nicole Griffin, Executive Director of the association. “Restaurants from Stamford to Mystic are participating in this year's event."
Some of the restaurants taking part this year will be Agave Grill, Feng, Black-Eyed Sally’s, Dish Bar & Grill and Trumbull Kitchen in Hartford; Rizzuto’s, Grants and Besito in West Hartford; Cavey’s in Manchester; Bricco Trattoria, Max Fish and Max Amore in Glastonbury; Backstage in Torrington; all the Carmen Anthony restaurants; Scorpion Bar, Shrine and High Rollers at Foxwoods; Kumo Japanese Steakhouse and Leon’s in New Haven; and many, many more.
Griffin points out that restaurants are a major employer in Connecticut and we need to show them some love. “In today’s difficult economic climate, we want to encourage people to come out and enjoy a wonderful meal at a time when many people are hesitant,” she says. “We’re very fortunate to have such incredible choices right here in our own backyard.”
