Taste of the Litchfield Hills this Weekend!

Come one, come all, to the 26th anniversary edition of A Taste of The Litchfield Hills. The event, which takes place Saturday through Monday (Sept. 3-5) at Ski Sundown in New Hartford, is the oldest food & wine festival in Connecticut.

All sorts of tasty foods will be available, in “grazing-sized” portions for $4 to $8, from local eateries including Ferme Restaurant (seared Stonington scallops, short ribs, corn-and-blue-crab fritters), Infinity Bistro (lobster salad sliders), Indochine Pavilion (garlic chicken on a stick, sesame chicken) and Rocket Fine Street Foods (Angus beef sliders, natural-beef and chicken tacos) and many others, along with KJ’s Pizza and Faddy’s Donuts and Ice Cream. There’ll be wine from Jerram Winery, Hopkins Vineyard, White Silo and others; Thomas Hooker beer; and soft drinks and coffee.

Seating will be available in the Culinary Tent, as well as in the air-conditioned ski lodge, or you can picnic on the grounds at picnic tables or bring your own blankets and lawn chairs.

There will also be live music each day, an outdoor shopping bazaar and activities for kids.

Hours are as follows: Saturday, 12-8, Sunday 12-8, Monday 12-5. For ticket info and more details, go to Litchfieldfestivals.com.
