Saddle Up for the Durham Fair

Summer's winding down, but that doesn't mean the fun has to stop. While there's already been plenty of great fairs held around the state, one of our favorites happens this weekend: the Durham Fair.

Now in its 91st year, it's the largest agricultural fair in the state and always features agricultural programs and exhibits, animals, rides, games, shopping—oh and we can't forget about the food. Prepare yourself for all the quintessential fair food you can imagine at just about every turn . . . fried Oreos, anyone?

Another big draw is the live entertainment. This year, country star Aaron Tippin takes the stage on Sept. 24, and REO Speedwagon performs Sept. 25. You don't want to miss this.

Tickets are available at the gate for $10 on Thursday and $15 from Friday-Sunday. Seniors are $13, and children 11 and under are free. For more information, visit durhamfair.com.
