Eating Greenwich & Port Chester
Last week it was Restaurant Week in Darien. Now, there’s the “Eating Greenwich & Port Chester” event March 3 - 7 if you’re down that way. The event, put on by the New England Culinary Group (NECG), is a five-day “celebration of dining” that organizers promise will be an improvement on the usual Restaurant Week style events. In addition to bargain-priced prix-fixe dinners, restaurants will be offering “an array of delicious and fun offers such as family-style dining, lunch buffets, early bird dining and even take-out incentives.”
Greenwich eateries onboard include Avenue Café, Bistro Latino, Centro at the Mill Restaurant, Eleven14 Kitchen, Greco's Bella Cucina, Morello Bistro, Polpo, The Ginger Man and Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar. In Port Chester: Alba’s, Arrosto, China White (Purchase), Sonora, Tandoori, Coals, John’s of Arthur Avenue, Tarry Lodge and Willett House.
Prix-fixe lunches will be priced at $12.13 at mid-range restaurants, $18.13 at high-end establishments; prix-fixe dinners will be $20.13 for mid-range, $30.13 at high-end places. To sweeten the pot, customers who dine at any of the participating restaurants during the event get 20%-off gift certificates good Sunday through Wednesday through March 27.
