Rizzuto's Lends a Helping Hand

Many folks in the region are still without power after Sandy’s rampage, and the nights are getting frosty. What can you do to help? Well, for one thing, stop by a Rizzuto’s restaurant. They’ve organized a Hurricane Relief drive at all four restaurants (Bethel, Westport, West Hartford and Stamford) to collect goods people can really use right now.

On the list: batteries, flashlights, diapers and baby supplies, Advil/Tylenol for adults and kids, work gloves and boots, blankets, warm outerwear, contractor bags, candles/lanterns, bleach, cleaning supplies, shovels/rakes, disposable plates & utensils.

So drop a few things off by end of day on Thursday—and why not stick around for one of Rizzuto’s great pizzas? Either way, you’re sure to get a warm fuzzy.

By the way, do note that this particular drive was organized in conjunction with New York charities, so maybe it’s time for someone to step up and do likewise for people here in Connecticut who are still in the dark.

Go to for the nearest location to you.
