Queen Ann Nzinga Center, Inc. presents 3rd Annual Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
This year’ performances include La Yunqueña, Latin band from Meriden, CT, who specializes in Salsa Gorda. La Yunqueña features musicians from varies town throughout the New England. Opening for La Yunqueña is ARKATEX, a local New Britain duo. The have performed in various Puertorican festivals. Come celebrate our culture with the sounds of our Latino community on Saturday, October 5th at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity-on-Main, 69 Main Street, New Britain, Ct 06051. Tickets are $10, $15 at door.
