The Queen Ann Nzinga Center, Inc. will host its Third Annual Exceptional Women Celebration honoring seven outstanding women from local communities on March 23 at Trinity on Main in New Britain. This celebration includes live musical performances, poetry, dance and tributes to the honorees. This program gives girls in the PRIDE program an opportunity to learn about successful women in their own community and celebrate their accomplishments. The community is invited to the celebration, given in honor of Women’s History Month. Congress established Women’s History Week in 1981 and Women’s History Month in 1994.
