City Singers of Hartford announces three performances of A Chorus of Peace which will bring together music, visual art and dance in a unique statement for peace. The choral and instrumental music will be augmented by the African choreography of Sankofa Kuumba Dance Ensemble, wearing the International Peace Belt which is made up of currency from 115 countries and created for Artists for World Peace.
The 15th c. chanson "L'homme Arme" (The Armed Man) in both medieval setting by Busnois and a contemoporary setting by Jenkins along with various settings of Dona nobis pacem set images of armed defense against images of peace.
