Named by American Theatre Magazine as one of fifteen up-and-coming artists "whose work will be transforming America's stages for decades to come," playwright Christina Anderson will speak about her path and creative process. She received her B.A. from Brown University and an M.F.A. from the Yale School of Drama's Playwriting Program. Her work has appeared at Yale Repertory Theatre, Penumbra Theatre, American Conservatory Theater, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, and at other theaters around the country. Most recently, her play "Hollow Roots" was featured at The Public Theater's Under the Radar Festival. An Outside the Box Theater Series presented by the Theater Department and the Center for the Arts, co-sponsored by the Center for African American Studies and the Wesleyan Writing Programs.
