Red Bee's honey tasting workshops include a tour through Red Bee Apiary and Gardens and a gathering at farmhouse-style tables to taste several flights of single-nectar source honeys. Delectable culinary accompaniments are made with estate-grown local produce and fresh herbs, fine cheeses, artisan breads, and chocolate. This season of honey tasting workshops coincides with the release of Red Bee Founder Marina Marchese's new book, The Honey Connoisseur (co-authored by Kim Flottum, editor of Bee Culture magazine). Marina will be sharing new material from The Honey Connoisseur about the terroir of honey -- the way that geographical region, climate, and soil affect the taste of honey -- and how to pinpoint honey tasting notes like a true connoisseur.
