John Kelley Memorial Fundraising Event at “VICTORY: An Exhibition Celebrating Boston Sports,” currently on display at Foxwoods in the Grand Cedar Exhibition Hall.

Bill Rodgers, Hartford native and marathon icon, will kick-off a weeklong tribute to the late John Kelley, the 1957 record-setting Boston Marathon winner and long-time Groton resident, by adding an exhibit to VICTORY including Kelley’s memorabilia. A portion of proceeds from ticket sales for the entire week will go to the John Kelley Memorial Fund to commission a life-size statue of Kelley that will be placed in a small park area near the Waterford in Mystic, Conn. to commemorate his life.
