Learn the principles of storytelling at a three-day workshop with comedienne Bonnie Levison and showcase your new-found yarn-spinning skills at "Mixed Bag," the next Historical Society Story Barn on February 22, 2013. The workshop will be at the Historical Society Education Center on January 30 and February 6 and 20, 2013. During the workshop, participants will learn about the principals of storytelling and the development of ideas, then they will craft the arc of their stores and fine-tune their presentation skills for the final performance. Coach and program emcee Bonnie Levison has been performing standup comedy and storytelling on a wide variety of stages for many years. She is a storytelling instructor for MothShop, the community and corporate education program for The Moth, a nonprofit organization In New York City dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. |
