Jul 15, 2013 to Aug 2, 2013
Let your little ones unlock the secrets of the Sound this summer at one of three camps being offered by the Westport Historical Society from July 15 through August 2, 10 A.M. to 2 P.M.
The one-week camps feature traditional outdoor games, creative activities like painting and sculpting, a unique field trip and opportunities to learn about the animal life of the town’s shore and native woodlands. They start in mid-July and are designed for children ages 5 to 11.
Each camp is held in collaboration with a local organization that works to preserve the town’s heritage and environment:
Aqua-mazing, July 15-19, lets the kids play junior marine biologists as they learn about the marine life of Long Island Sound.
Crazy ‘bout Critters, July 22-26, will introduce kids to a new wild animal each day.
Farm n’ Fun, July 29-Aug.2, will explore Westport’s farming history.
