Michael Palmer is one of those rare artists who has the ability to reach beyond the technical and into the expression. For many years, he has rendered imagery that has a folk art quality in both his country and cityscape paintings. Michael’s canvases invite the viewer to experience the world of young and old, frozen in time and thought in settings that stir feelings we have all experienced. The medium is acrylic and pen. The former lays the groundwork; the latter defines the space. Over the years, Michael’s work has leaned toward a more abstract presentation. The evolution in his work can be viewed in this Exhibit.
