Westport Historical Society Presents A New Exhibit: "Treasures Revealed" and "Inside Story"

Westport Historical Society is pleased to announce its new exhibition which will open on Sunday, Jan. 27, and run through April 27, 2013.  The exhibit will feature artifacts from our Archives and Collections, parts of which date from the late 18th century.  Visitors will also learn about the fascinating inside story of our landmark Bradley-Wheeler House and Cobblestone Barn. This new exhibit, “Treasures Revealed” and "Inside Story" will allow the viewer to discover the mysteries and history of our town by dipping into our archives. It is a special collaboration between our Exhibits, Oral History, Archives and Collections Departments, all run by volunteers.

The opening reception for members and invited guests for “Treasures Revealed” and "Inside Story" will be Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, following our annual meeting.  Wine and refreshments will be served.  This exhibit will run through April 27, 2013.  If you’ve ever thought of becoming a member, now would be the time to do it!  Visit our website www.westporthistory.org or phone us at 203-222-1424.
