Internship Guidelines

Duties Include: Assist in various aspects of the editorial process for Connecticut Magazine and The Connecticut Bride, including answering phones, research, fact-checking, copy editing and proofreading, plus providing seasonal help on particular guides, e.g. Dining, Health Care, Where to Buy and The Rite Stuff. Also handle editorial correspondence, return manuscripts and queries from freelance writers, cross-index articles from back issues on database and contribute short pieces for the magazines and website.

Qualifications: Detail-oriented, self-starter, interested in publishing, well-read, good command of the English language and dependable.

Time of Year: Fall, spring or summer.

Approximate Starting Date(s): Beginning of term.

Duration: One full term/12 to 15 hours per week.

Remuneration: None.
