I would like to recomend Jackie's Restaurant in Bantam, Ct. I patronize this breakfast and lunch establishment at least two times a week. I noticed the menu has changed, the food is fantastic, they have about 5 breakfast and lunch specials, including coconut belgium waffles topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream, lunch has a yummy taco salad bowl. I inquired about the change in the menu and was told that it has a new owner, Sarah Owens, she is 20 years old and what a fantasic job, she is doing, just the change in the menu. It takes me about10 minutes before I can decide what to have, or if I should have breakfast or lunch. Just wanted to recommend this restaurant. Best of Luck Sarah!!!!

A new restaurant opened in North Haven called Dominic's and I want to send this post out so people in the area will give it a try. It opened in October of 2009 and hoping it sticks around for some time but compared to the previous restaurant that occupied this space, Dominic's prices are much higher. He makes excellent Italian food, all made fresh when ordered. The bread and the dipping oil is delicious. Lunch at Dominic's is priced affordable but dinner is much higher. The restaurant is tucked back from the street (Washington Avenue)in a small shopping center. One might not know it was there unless someone told you about it. Give the restaurant a try...you will not be disappointed.

Mathews service is horrible. The food is NEVER consistant. Gave this restuarant several chances. Tired of wasting money. It's really to bad.. I miss Jack's that was in the location prior.

You must be kidding when you say New Deal is the best steakhouse in Middlesex Cty. The place is absolutely terrible!
And Joe & Lenny's the best seafood restaurant?? I cannot believe either of these were even considered for mention

Hi,
I just wondered why CT Magazine no longer includes 'Breakfast' as a category in your Reader's Choice Restaurant Awards. This is my favorite meal to eat out and the only one I really care about. Please consider adding it back for those of us who believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day!

You have an excellent memory. We haven't done a Breakfast category in the Readers' Choice ballot since 1986. Or maybe you're thinking of the Great Breakfast cover story we did last May?

Bravos to Zest Restaurant in Tolland, Ct. for the outstanding food and service for my Mom's 90th Birthday Party. Carrie Landry
and her staff ( thanks Lynn & Ashley !) provided 50 people with an awesome lunch and the atomoshere as so cozy no one wanted to leave. Many people came from far away places and left saying they would come back again to Zest anytime. The lucky ones are the ones who live close ! Thanks again Zest !
