Connecticut Neck and Back Specialists, LLC is a Danbury-based surgical practice dedicated to the management of spinal disorders. By focusing on treating complex spinal deformities and spinal revision surgeries, its fellowship-trained surgical team of Dr. David L. Kramer and Dr. David A. Bomback provides the highest-quality, evidence-based management of spinal disorders. Together, they offer the most state-of-the-art, minimally invasive surgical techniques whenever possible. In addition to treating degenerative and traumatic disorders of the cervical and lumbar spine, theirs is one of the few state practices with special expertise treating the potentially debilitating conditions of scoliosis and kyphosis in both adults and adolescents.
DR. DAVID A. BOMBACK, a graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons who completed his orthopaedic residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital and a spine and scoliosis fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan, is the medical director of the Orthopedic-Neurosurgery Unit at Danbury Hospital. He notes that “what sets our practice apart is that we consider ourselves partners with our patients. By limiting our practice to contemporary spinal care, we can remain responsive to the individual needs of our patients at a time when changes in the health-care system seem to interfere with the patient-physician relationship.”
DR. DAVID L. KRAMER, a Dartmouth Medical School graduate who completed the Harvard orthopaedic residency program at Massachusetts General Hospital and his orthopedic/neurosurgical fellowship in spine surgery at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson Hospital, serves on the board of directors at Danbury Hospital and Western Connecticut Health Network. He is also actively engaged as director of The Spine Center at Danbury Hospital. “When it comes to considering spine surgery, we realize many decisions can be hard to make. By taking the time to educate our patients, we help to make informed decisions regarding the best surgical or nonsurgical treatment tailored to their lifestyle. It’s not only about a consistently good surgical outcome; it’s about patient satisfaction.” Both surgeons are involved in ongoing clinical research to assess the efficacy of the latest surgical and nonsurgical spinal-treatment techniques.
