DR. MICHAEL A. CASSETTA, a rheumatologist, and DR. GLENN M. RICH, an endocrinologist, are part of the Trumbull-based Fairfield County Medical Group.
Dr. Cassetta (left), a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, treats patients with conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, lupus, osteoarthritis and gout. After completing an internal medicine residency at Saint Barnabas Hospital, he did his rheumatology fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. “Effective treatment of these chronic inflammatory and autoimmune disorders requires a long-term partnership among the patient, their rheumatologist and their primary care physician,” he says. He believes building strong relationships with both his patients and their other doctors is vital to helping them deal successfully with these conditions. “I see my relationship as working with my patients, not preaching to them,” he says. “I am a big believer in patient education.”
Dr. Rich (right), a graduate of Cornell University Medical College, treats patients with diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders and other metabolic syndromes. He did his internal medicine residency at St. Luke’s Hospital, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and his fellowship in endocrinology and hypertension at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He enjoys practicing both endocrinology and internal medicine and was honored to have been previously named a “Top Doc” in internal medicine in addition to his “Top Doc” honors in endocrinology.
He has been recognized by both the National Committee for Quality Assurance and the American Diabetes Association for providing quality care to his patients with diabetes. “Diabetes affects the whole body, and proper care requires a team approach, with patient education most important,” he says. “Having a certified diabetic educator on our staff has been a great benefit to our patients.”

I'm glad to see no. 7 is Dr Cohen. In my opinion he's no 1 but I have no way of judging the top 6. He operated on me in 2001 because I was high risk of getting colon cancer it was felt. I'm still here 11 years later doc! I'm fine w/respect to the surgery but do have an issue with a lumbar bone out of place and am dealing w/that now. Things are much better since I had the two Epidural shots. I get the third tommorow. You go Dr. Cohen!

I had a breast reduction last year, Dr. Smith performed the surgery. I am so happy with the results he is a great physician and surgeon he takes the extra time to ask you what your expectations are and is also very open about what to expect after surgery.

Dr. Gary Price has gone above and beyond his call of duty . I have had several procedures done by him and wouldn't think of going to anyone else. He has done a complete face lift on me. Several laser treatments and a couple of touch up mini lifts. I'm considering having liposuction by him. If anyone out there is considering cosmetic work done you should definitely have a consultation with Gary Price.
A grateful and satisfied patient

Dr Gerstenhaber is the BEST Pulmonary
Doctor in the New Haven area. He is extremely smart and knows more than his specialty.
He is kind and compassionate and has a wonderful way of appropriately infusing humor into what can be
a tense situation...
I commend him for his tremendous work ethic and feel so grateful that he cared for each of my parents and now myself.
I can only say thank you for always being so available to us.

Dr. Neil Floch and the staff of Fairfield County Bariatrics have afforded me a second chance for a more active and healthier life. In June of 2011 at 68 yrs old Dr. Neil performed RNY Gastric Bypass at Norwalk Hospital and as of 10 mos post op I have lost 102 lbs and gain a second chance to enjoy life more fully. I left the hospital completely offm of the three type 2 diabetes meds I had been on for 12+ years. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Floch and Fairfield County Bariatrics and fully endorse the excellent level of care that I experienced both pre and post op and would urge anyone considering wls to them.
