DR. JAMES DeJESUS (right) and DR. DAVID MADER (left) have been in practice for more than 20 years. Both doctors are certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and are fellows of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Drs. Mader and DeJesus teach podiatric surgical residents as assistant clinical professors at Yale University School of Medicine. They are on staff at Naugatuck Valley and Danbury Surgical Centers, as well as Danbury, Waterbury and St. Mary’s hospitals. The doctors studied peripheral nerve decompression surgery for diabetic neuropathy under Dr. A. Lee Dellon of Johns Hopkins and microsurgery at Columbia University. They both specialize in flatfoot reconstructive surgery, bunion and hammertoe surgery, trauma to the foot and ankle as well as endoscopic surgery. Their offices offer a spalike atmosphere with relaxing whirlpool rooms and televisions in all the treatment rooms for viewing patients’ electronic medical records and/or digital X-rays.
