 g 101 is for young artists who are looking to hone their drawing skills an
 d learn about the history and practice of art. Each month will focus on a 
 different topic\, ranging from Pop Art to architectural space to portraitu
 re to abstraction. Classes will often take place in the galleries\, with s
 tudents working directly from the NBMAA’s collection in order to strengthe
 n critical thinking and observational skills. All skill levels are welcome
 .</p>\n<p>\n	 </p>\n<p>\n	Pre-registration is required for each monthly se
 ssion and class size is limited. New sessions begin on the first Wednesday
  of each month. We offer scholarships for New Britain students\, so please

 NEW/NOW artist Tony de los Reyes’ visual interpretation of Herman Melville
 ’s <em>Moby Dick</em>. These works will inspire students to use their draw
 ing skills to make interpretations of written works come to life on paper.
  Students will explore how both line quality and understanding value can w
