\n\n Buckwheat Zydeco\, the band USA Today called 'zydeco trailblazers\,' won a Grammy Award for LAY YOUR BURDEN DOWN in the Best Z ydeco Music Album category. The band has been nominated five previous time s in three different categories. This is their first Grammy Award.
\n\n Buckwheat's repertoire of Louisiana's hottest music consists of soulful original Creole tunes and th e trademark exuberance that's made Stanley 'Buckwheat' Dural the world's b est-loved zydeco artist\, and has earned Buckwheat Zydeco fame as 'The Wor ld's Greatest Party Band.' After 5 nominations in 3 different categories\, Buckwheat Zydeco won the Grammy for Best Zydeco album for Lay Your Burden Down in 2010! The band plays a long list of high-profile gigs year in and year out\, and their music can be heard in a slew of major motion picture s and television shows.
