DESCRIPTION:<p>\n	Each year\, Archer Memorial AME Zion Church picks an issu
e of concern to Martin Luther King Jr. to focus on during the day commemor
ating his life.&nbsp\; Each year Windsor Historical Society offers Timely
Topics programs which take issues of current concern and infuse historical
  perspective.&nbsp\; On January 21\, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a break
for sandwiches and sweets\, our two organizations have teamed up to focus
on mental health.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>\n	In December\, people around the world
joined Newtown in grieving for twenty-eight deaths in Newtown&rsquo\;s sc
hool shootings.&nbsp\; Questions have centered on weapons availability\, o
n violence in the entertainment industry\, and on mental health.&nbsp\; Fo
rty-eight years ago\, in December of 1964 while accepting the Nobel Peace
Prize\, Martin Luther King said\, &ldquo\;We have learned to fly the air l
ike birds and swim the sea like fish\, but we have not learned the simple
art of living together as brothers.&rdquo\;&nbsp\; In the wake of a traged
y such as the one at Newtown\, people ask\, &ldquo\;What should be done?&n
bsp\; What can we do?&rdquo\;&nbsp\; Answers are far from simple\, but we
can come together to question\, to talk\, and to listen.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbs
p\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>\n	The program starts at 5 p.m. at Windsor Town
Hall for music from Archer Memorial and First Church choirs.&nbsp\; Repres

information on the prevailing issues of mental health in our state and co
mmunity and will be on hand for consultation and sharing of resources.&nbs
p\; Each year the Archer receives donations for the Scholarship fund to as
sist students in their pursuit of higher education.&nbsp\; An appeal will
 be made at the program.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;Shortly before 7 PM\, travel north t
o Windsor Historical Society for a light dinner of sandwiches and sweets\,
then hear CCSU Professor of History Dr. Matthew Warshauer discuss post-tr
 aumatic stress disorder\, then called &ldquo\;Soldier&rsquo\;s Heart&rdquo
\; affecting Civil War soldiers.&nbsp\; This was one of the first times in
history that people began to look at war veterans with recognition that m
any had changed for reasons beyond their control. &nbsp\;&nbsp\;People the
 n as now questioned\, &ldquo\;What should be done?&nbsp\; What can we do?&
