\n\n Andrea Miller\, Artistic Director of Gall im Dance\, took the Center for the Arts by storm when her company performe d at DanceMasters Weekend in 2011. Hailed for their quick wit\, technical virtuosity\, and visceral movement style\, Ms. Miller'\;s works embody fearless physicality. At the same time\, her choreography is grounded by d eep humanity\, and is expressed through the madness and joy of the imagina tion. At Wesleyan\, Gallim Dance will perform the New England premiere of &ldquo\;Mama Call&rdquo\; (2011)\, a contemporary tale of border-crossing\ , and &ldquo\;Pupil Suite&rdquo\; (2010)\, set to the contagious music of Israeli band Balkan Beat Box. Ms. Miller was the 2011 recipient of Wesleya n'\;s Mariam McGlone Emerging Choreographer Award. A Breaking Ground Da nce Series event presented by the Dance Department and the Center for the Arts.
