Art in the Park: Treasures of Central Park

Join us for an art tour of America’s first landscaped park and explore its rich and varied history through the dozens of sculptures, fountains, and architectural enhancements that have been strategically placed throughout the grounds over the past 150 years. Tour guide Anne Bolin, Ph.D. is a specialist in 19th century art and culture. Currently a professor of art history at Sacred Heart University, she was also an educator for the Mint Museum of Art in Charlotte, NC and curator at the Lockwood Matthews Mansion in Norwalk.

The tour will begin at 59th Street and conclude behind the Metropolitan Museum of Art, at 82nd Street. Bring a camera, bag lunch, and please wear comfortable walking shoes. Students will be notified of the location to meet by email; please provide your email address at time of registration.
