Bone Arts Challenge & Reception
Mar 23, 2013
5:30 pm until 7:30 pm
Dipping back into Chester's roots as a manufacturing town, the Chester Historical Society has created its third annual challenge for area artisans and all those with a creative mind. The challenge, titled "Bone Arts" uses bone implement handles made in the 1930s and '40s as a starting point for imagination.
The 45 artists who have accepted the challenge are using the simple bone handles to create finished pieces of art, jewelry, sculptures, and more, which will be exhibited and available by silent auction at the Bone Arts Challenge & Reception.
Also that evening, Chester's restaurant chefs and caterers are creating hors d'oeuvres for a Taste of Chester, to be served with champagne. Tickets should be bought in advance by calling 860-526-9822.
