Gallery Talk with Jane Bunker, Illumination
Aug 7, 2013
Join artist Jane Bunker for a discussion on her current exhibition Illumination on display in the Davis Gallery through August 18. Bunker was born and raised in Truro, MA, and began drawing at a very young age. For the first few years of her life, Bunker suffered from undiagnosed myopia and perceived the world much differently from others. She recalls believing that “everything was beautiful in an amorphous and floaty and miasmic way.” The paintings in this exhibition reflect the blurry and light-filled world she saw as a young girl. Bunker invites anyone interested to hear more about her technique and to ask questions about her spiritual and psychological journey through art.
