Kelly Rowland & The-Dream Co-Headline Night of R&B at Foxwoods June 2

Event Date/Time

May 22, 2013 to Jun 1, 2013
6:00 pm until 8:00 pm

Description

Mashantucket, Conn. (May 21, 2013) –Kelly Rowland & The-Dream will perform live for one sultry night of R&B at Foxwoods Resort Casino’s Fox Theater on Sunday, June 2 at 7 p.m. Tickets priced at $50 are on sale now.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.foxwoods.com, by calling the Foxwoods’ Box Office at

800-200-2882 or Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000. Tickets are also available at the box office.

The two are set to perform in support of their new albums.  Rowland’s new album Talk a Good Game, featuring the seductive and sultry hit “Kisses Down Low,” is due out following the show on June 18.  The fifth solo studio album for The-Dream, IV Play, will be released on Island Def Jam on May 28.

While best known as a founding member of Destiny’s Child, The Grammy Award-winner Rowland has earned critical acclaim in her own right. Talk a Good Game sees Rowland continue her reign of hit making success following her 2011 critically-acclaimed album, Here I Am

With Destiny’s Child, Rowland has cumulatively sold more than 20 million albums worldwide. She has been honored with a total of five Grammy Awards, 16 Billboard Music Awards, 15 Soul Train Awards, four American Music Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards and more.

The-Dream, collaborating with Rowland on both of their new albums, has accumulated accolades of his own. During his 12-year career, the singer/songwriter/producer has crafted crossover hits for music's biggest artists, including Rihanna and Beyoncé.

His solo album IV Play is laced with eclectic strings, big harmonies and droning synths reminiscent of '90s R&B and late-'80s/early-'90s rap.

"We bonded over the holidays, in December. We just became great friends. We are really similar in so many ways," The-Dream says of Kelly Rowland. "We just bonded over songs. She's on my album and I worked on two songs? for her album, 'Skywalker,' and another I wrote for her, 'Dirty Laundry,' [which] has a lot of her insight and it's pretty intense."
