Lions Craft Fair & Festival

COME TO THE FESTIVAL DAY AT GUILFORD, CT AUGUST 10, 2013

Mark your calendar with the Date!

Start at the 17th Annual Guilford Lions Craft Fair & Festival, August 10

Crafters from all forms of crafts including woodwork, jewelry, glass, paintings, photography, weaving, etc.  The Town Green is ringed by stores, galleries, shops, churches, etc.

 

Have lunch at the Trailer on the scenic Guilford Town Green. The Lions Club food trailer provides hotdogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers sandwiches and beverages.

After the Craft Fair tour Guilford which has over 100 National Registry homes, historic museums from 1629 and a picturesque harbor.

Then visit the 7th Annual Shoreline Wine Fest at Bishops Orchard, August 10

Join the celebration of fine wines from Connecticut Wineries and Vineyards. There are offerings of fine wines that range from grape wines to fruit wines.  Pair this with some of the area’s finest foods in a backdrop setting of a beautiful farm orchard and background sounds of tasteful music.

Have early dinner at one of the restaurants near the Green. Restaurants include; The Place, Naples Pizza, Quattro's, Maritime Grille, Guilford Mooring, Stone House, Shoreline Diner, Som Siam. Or, plan a picnic dinner on the Green before the Shakespeare performance.

12th Annual Shakespeare on the Shoreline, August 10

This program presents free outdoor performances of classic theater on the historic Green. The summer production for 2013 is “Much Ado About Nothing” performed at 7:30 pm by Shakespeare Productions, Inc. Bring blankets & chairs and enjoy theater under the stars.

Shakespeare on the Shoreline is the most popular and well recognized FREE summer cultural event of the Shoreline community and according to the Wall Street Journal "draws crowds from all over the area with its engaging, entertaining, and educational performances."
