Lyme Academy College Presents, “Aha! Inside the Artist’s Studio”

Have you ever wondered what happens in an artist’s studio?  Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts is offering you the opportunity to see ‘behind the easel’ at an all-new winter event being hosted at the College on Saturday, Feb. 9.  ‘Aha! Inside the Artist’s Studio’ is an interactive evening running from 5 to 8 p.m. during which faculty members will demonstrate their respective craft in the College studios.

Demonstrations in painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking and illustration will all be offered within an evening of serious hors d’oeuvres, seasonal cocktails and an open bar.  Catering is by Saybrook Soup & Sandwich Company.

There will also be a “Tools of the Trade” Art Marketplace and a silent auction with a fine array of art, jewelry, dining opportunities and a multitude of other gift certificates and exciting items. A number of workshops to be taken at a later date will be offered at a very attractive price to complement the demonstrations.  Art supplies will also be available for sale.

An enjoyable, entertaining, and educational evening is promised. Tickets are $85 per person, $500 for a couple at the Patron level and $1,000 per couple for Benefactors.  For more information or ticket reservations, contact Ann de Selding at 860.434.3571 ext. 117 or adeselding@lymeacademy.edu.
