Slant of Light Productions is currently accepting internship applications
Slant of Light Theater Company offers internships to enthusiastic high school and college students to give them real-world, real-time experience working at a non-profit theater company. At this internship they will carry out and even spearhead projects and programs integral to the company. Interns work side-by-side with company staff members and artists thereby gaining valuable advice and networking contacts from Connecticut and New York theatre professionals. This internship provides students with experience that is necessary to make an informed decision about the role that theatre will play in their collegiate and professional lives.
*all applications are accepted on a rolling admission basis*
*intern commitment is 12 weeks*
Interns work on current projects in areas such as publicity, general management, event planning, grant writing, and development. There are also many opportunities to observe auditions, rehearsals, and production meetings; to see other local theater productions; to contribute and implement your own ideas; and to specialize in areas of theatre that are most interesting to you.
The program requires 4 hours of work to be completed per week according to a schedule that will be designed by the intern and a Slant of Light Staff mentor. As Slant of Light is currently a presenting company without a permanent space, all work is done in various coffee shops throughout the Milford, CT area, and interns must provide their own transportation. Rehearsals and performances occur at various locations throughout CT and NY, transportation will be offered from Milford to various other project areas. To apply, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application.
