Spring Home School Day: Mini and Micro
Jun 20, 2013
10:00 am until 3:00 pm
Join SM&NC education staff for a look at the small side of spring life! Meet our new spring farm babies and discover which animals are kids, polts, and keets. Dip into our vernal pools to study the tadpoles and insects that call it home. Explore how seeds travel and plant your own veggies to take home. Investigate the world of invertebrates by meeting some live insects and arachnids, as well as taking nets out for a catch-and-release field study. Limited enrollment allows for small groups. A group lunch period allows for homeschoolers to meet each other and share ideas. To register, contact Lisa Monachelli at 203.977.6515 or firstname.lastname@example.org. For ages 5 and up; younger siblings and parents/teachers attend at no charge. Members & Non-Members: $15 per child.
