The Strawberry Festival is a traditional Native American celebration of the small, fragrant and intensely flavored wild strawberries that are beginning to ripen! The strawberry resembles the shape and color of the human heart, imbuing the kindest emotions that bring people together to socialize and feast.
Join IAIS at the Washington Town Pavilion with musicians Allan Madahbee (Ojibway), Mark Ingram (African American & Cherokee descent) and the Sint Sink Singers as we give thanks for the seasons bounty celebrating with food, music, dance, Native American inspired games and more! Bring your own picnic! We will be selling delicious strawberry beverages and desserts!
