“The Litchfield” is not just a festival—it’s a jazz family. The focus is quality across the boards —the music, art, food and clinics.  Listen, learn and love jazz at the Festival’s 18th anniversary back at its stomping grounds at the Goshen Fairground in Goshen, CT from August 9-11. The weekend includes an Opening Night Friends Gala, three days of music on two stages, fine art and handmade crafts, fantastic food, wine and beer, artist talks and clinics, student performances and jazz music and craft workshops for the youngest set all with views and sunsets over the rolling Litchfield Hills. The line-up features stellar performances by NEA Jazz Master Eddie Palmieri, Grammy nominees Gregory Porter and Papo Vázquez, The Val Ramos Flamenco Ensemble and more.  For five weeks leading up to the Jazz Festival is Litchfield Jazz Camp (July 7-August 9) on the campus of Kent School in Kent, CT.  A non-competitive total jazz immersion for students ages 13 through adult led by Music Director Don Braden and taught by award-winning touring and recording jazz musicians.  Students even perform on a second stage Jazz Fest weekend.  For more information visit www.litchfieldjazzfest.com, find us www.facebook.com/litchfieldjazzfestival or call 860-361-6285.
