"The Future of the Euro"

Description

The public is invited to attend a free World Affairs Forum Great Decisions event featuring Bernard Lietaer, Research Fellow, UC Berkeley and Jacqui Dunne, CEO, Danu Resource. Mr. Lietaer and Ms. Dunne will speak on “The Future of the Euro” at the Greenwich Library on March 18th at 7 PM. 

 

Bernard Lietaer co-designed and implemented the convergence mechanism to the single European currency system (the Euro) and served as president of the Electronic Payment System at the National Bank of Belgium (the Belgian Central Bank).

Jacqui Dunne is founder and CEO of Danu Resource and an award-winning journalist from Ireland. Danu Resource serves as a fiscal agent for funding, and works as the interface between the donors and the projects.  Ms. Dunne has been called an emerging leader in helping entrepreneurs develop technologies and initiatives that restore the earth's equilibrium globally.

Mr. Lietaer and Ms. Dunne are co-authors of Rethinking Money:  How New Currencies Turn Scarcity into Prosperity.  The book will be for sale at the event, and the authors will autograph copies for those interested.
