Aug 13, 2014
7:00 pm until 8:30 pm
The Stamford Museum & Nature Center in collaboration with Mayapple Center for the Arts and Humanities proudly present Donald E. Pease, Distinguished Dartmouth Professor, as guest lecturer this summer.
American Studies scholars demand for expulsion of American Exceptionalism from respectable scholarly discourse has coincided with a spectacular upturn in the usage of the term within the public domain. Print media references to American exceptionalism increased from two in 1980 to a stunning 2,580 in 2012. Join us for this free adult program. A "Q&A" session will follow the lecture. Pre-registration is required. For more information, please call 203-977-6521.
