Winter Break Out Day: Extreme Explorers!
| Event Date/Time |
Feb 18, 2013
11:00 am until 3:00 pm
|
| Description |
From the starry sky to the open ocean, we have long been fascinated by those who study, paint and explore these unchartered areas. Visit our newest exhibitions to see how artists interpret the sky and create your own star art. Visit our planetarium to learn about the common constellations of the winter sky. Explore how we make maple syrup today and how it is different from the method Native Americans used. Enjoy experiences such as becoming a pirate for the day as we make our own pirate flag, get our pirate names, and complete a pirate treasure hunt. We'll end our day with S'mores over the campfire. Members: Free | Non-Members: Free with gate admission. For more information call 203.322-1646, e-mail info@stamfordmuseum.org, or visit www.stamfordmuseum.org
