Youth Drawing 101

This event occurs weekly on Wednesday.

Description

Students hone their drawing skills while learning about the history and practice of art in an informal, social setting. Join Museum educator Celina Marquis as she introduces concepts through gallery chats and interactive projects. Working in the Museum's creative space students will be surrounded by art as they work on projects at their own pace and recieve individualized instruction. At the end of each monthly class, Celina facilitates group reflection to help students learn and improve. 

July: Distortion 101: Drawing Through Glass

Aug.: Up Close and Personal with Architecture

Sept.: Create a World: Science Fiction Pulp Art 

Pre-registration is required for each monthly session and class size is limited. New sessions begin on the first Wednesday of each month. We do offer scholarships for New Britain students, so please feel free to ask if you qualify.
