DRS. HARRY ASLANIAN and PRIYA JAMIDARare partners in interventional endoscopy who work with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, radiologists, and pathologists to diagnose and treat pancreaticobiliary disorders.
Dr. Aslanian earned his degree from Brown University and completed two fellowships (gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy) at Yale University School of Medicine. He is director of Endoscopic Ultrasound and the Yale Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship. Dr. Jamidar received his degree from Queens University, Belfast and completed fellowships (gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy) at the University of Southern California and Indiana University Medical Center. He was director of Pancreatico-Biliary Endoscopy at UCLA and currently is director of Endoscopy at Yale.
As advanced endoscopy specialists, they obtain highly detailed images of the pancreas, examined from inside the stomach. “We can evaluate precancerous lesions and monitor them,” says Dr. Aslanian, and get “focused biopsies of areas as small as 3mm in size” for early detection of cancers of the pancreas and bile duct. Drs. Jamidar and Aslanian offer the latest endoscopic therapies to patients.
