DR. ANNE NGHIEM majored in biological sciences with minors in English and German at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and completed a residency program in advanced education in general dentistry at the University of Connecticut Health Center and a specialty program in pediatric dentistry at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.

Dr. Nghiem believes in preventative care and in providing education for both parents and children about dental health and any issues children may have with their oral growth and development. “I am open and honest with parents and encourage them to be with their child in the treatment room to help them better understand evidence-based treatment options,” she says. “Communication with parents and patients is the key to fostering any positive changes.” Although she offers nitrous oxide for anxious patients, she prefers to use behavior modification skills whenever possible. She welcomes children from infancy through teenage years, as well as children with special health care needs.
