DR. BRENDAN DOLAN graduated from Emory University in Atlanta with a B.A. in Latin American and Caribbean studies, where he also completed the pre-dental curriculum. He was then accepted into Hartford Hospital’s Summer Student Research Fellowship. An enthusiastic musician, he performs with bands, a cappella groups and has taught music and English in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. He returned to the U.S. to attend UConn School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his degree. Dr. Dolan completed an advanced residency program in general dentistry at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Long Beach, CA, Advanced Implant Educators course in Tijuana, Mexico and The Wehrle Advanced Implant Immersion Course in Puebla, Mexico.
Dr. Dolan treats patients with complex dental needs. He is one of the few providers who treats patients full-cycle, from the surgical phase of implant dentistry through restoration. “A lot of my treatment is focused on full arch rehabilitation, patients who have delayed dental care for years and want their smile and function back.” He is a certified provider of the Hybridge full arch dental implant bridge, which gives patients a beautiful smile and full dental function in just a few weeks.
Dr. Dolan’s 4,000 square foot office is on the first floor of the new Borden Apartments, just off I-91 in Wethersfield. “Our team is so much fun,” he says. “They are a wonderful group of individuals who spend the time building skills in patient care and customer service. We really emphasize making the dental experience lively and engaging.” He is also focused on music in the office and gets compliments on his personally selected playlist of 3200 songs.
Dr. Dolan communicates fluently in English, Spanish and Portuguese. He has been an active volunteer with the Connecticut Mission of Mercy. Recognizing the need for community mentorship, Dr. Dolan founded the Advocates for Careers in Tech and Science (ACTS) Career Mentoring Program at UConn HCOP, which enables students of diverse backgrounds be mentored by (leading local) health and science professionals. The program has mentored dozens of aspiring students, and now offers financial literacy programs for students and their families.
