DR. RONIKA CHOUDHARY founded Women’s Obstetrics & Gynecology 16 years ago. She made a commitment to providing comprehensive health care for women from their teens to post-menopause. She felt that women should feel empowered and encouraged to take good care of themselves. Her vision turned into a successful practice that draws multi generations of women from the same family. She has been recognized for 12 consecutive years by Connecticut Magazine as a Top Doc.

Dr. Choudhary has a dedicated multicultural team of handpicked medical providers who reflect her diverse patient population and speak English, Spanish, Punjabi, Telagu, and Urdu. This team is comprised of Drs. Dina Barnaby, Anupama Narla, Sandra Mattison, Claudia Ortiz, and Shaida Malloy, naturopathic provider Dr. Joseph Gariepy, and midwife Kimberly Wierzchowski.

While Dr. Choudhary has always believed in educating patients and supporting them through the different stages of life, she is spending more time helping women through their peri-menopause and menopause. “Women become invisible when they become menopausal,” she says. They struggle with their changing hormones and changing bodies. They feel that something is wrong but are afraid to discuss it. Their relationships suffer and they feel overwhelmed. She is focusing on helping these women through incorporating a holistic approach that looks at lifestyle and balancing hormones.

Dr. Choudhary’s practice focuses on both gynecology and obstetrics. There is compassionate gynecology for teenagers, cancer screenings, minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopy. She and her colleagues tend to women who have low- and high-risk pregnancies. They also have a vast network of therapists to help women deal with mental health issues and nutritional counselors to help them maintain optimal health at all stages of life.
