DR. VITO ERRICO, a Yale-trained neuroradiologist and medical director at Diagnostic Imaging of Milford is specially trained in reading brain, head and neck, and spine studies and performs minimally invasive, image guided procedures for back pain. He studied premed at New York University and earned his degree from Stonybrook University School of Medicine. He did his internship at New Rochelle Hospital and residency at Stony Brook University Hospital before completing a fellowship in neuroradiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
He discusses possible causes for back pain and reviews the imaging studies and discusses treatment options with patients. Procedures he performs include epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections for back arthritis, vertebroplasties, and vertebral body augmentation for painful compression fractures of the back.
Dr. Errico also practices general radiology, including reading all types of MRIs, 3D mammograms, CT scans, ultrasound, bone density, and X-rays. He also performs several other image guided procedures, including joint injections and head and neck biopsies. His love for anatomy, especially brain anatomy, has driven his interests into pursuing a career in radiology.
