On Saturday, June 8, 2019, the Connecticut Office of Tourism will sponsor the 15th annual Connecticut Open House Day. This special one-day statewide event showcases Connecticut’s diverse world of history, art, and tourism, and the Wood Memorial Library is proud to be involved in this event for the fourth year! This unique event allows for residents across the state to both discover, and rediscover, the many things that happen across our beautiful state.
Connecticut is filled with so many features that make our state unique; we have a “colorful” heritage, a wide array of hidden gems, and a plethora of interesting venues and attractions. Connecticut Open House Day is used to promote and publicize these features and to remind residents that Connecticut is an exceptional place to live. The event hopes to pique the interest of residents and transform them into Connecticut ambassadors who will take their newfound knowledge on the state and excitedly promote it “to visiting friends, family, and acquaintances.” The Wood is sure to make the most of this day, to please be sure to stay tuned to our website (http://www.woodmemoriallibrary.org/) for more information to come on this wonderful Nutmeg State event!
