We are thrilled to welcome back The Hartford Jazz Orchestra on July 10th.  The 16 piece band has entertained crowds for decades and is well known in the Hartford Jazz scene.  Established in October of 1965, the HJO’s first home was King Philip Junior High School.  Throughout the years, and with the transition of band leaders, the HJO made it to the scene of Club 880 which at the time was the mecca of the Harford Jazz Scene.  They are now the house band at the Arch Street Tavern in Hartford, CT under the direction of Donn Trenner.  Original members include Middletown’s own, Seb Giacco.

CJ West and the Downtown Train will be performing on July 17th.  CJ West and The Downtown Train plays country, rock, rhythm & blues and “whatever”. The Downtown Train plays kickin’ country music, classic and modern. Lately, The Train take crowds to Woodstock, a tribute to the bands who graced the stage at Woodstock 1969.  Whatever trip they’re taking you on, The Downtown Train’s talented instrumentalists and well-blended voices add up to a unique, danceable and fun musical experience!

Plywood Cowboy will perform for the first time at our music series on July 24th. Take yourself back to the days of dusty country roads, carefree summers, and your radio tuned to music that was soulful and authentic. Enter Plywood Cowboy, crafting songs ripe with these nostalgic comforts, yet perfectly suited for the soundtrack of modern life. With their second album release, “Blue Skies”, the band continues to produce refreshing music that has been called “steeped in tradition, with lyrics full of longing, truth and heart” by Sound Waves Magazine.
